The Father Paul Kidner O.S.B. Scholarship (For new 7th graders)
Recipients receive a $14,350 annual half-tuition award.
The Saint Benedict Scholarship (For new 7th graders)
Recipients receive a $10,000 annual award.
The Headmaster Award (For new 7th and 9th graders)
Recipients receive a $9,000 annual award.
The Monsignor Robert P. Slattery Scholarship (For new 9th graders)

The Father Paul Kidner O.S.B. Scholarship
$14,350 annual award (for new 7th graders)
The Kidner Scholarship is awarded to new 7th-grade students whose academic profile and personal character stands out. The Kidner Scholar will:
- have achieved a top score on the SSAT
- have earned superior marks in 5th and 6th grades (as applicable)
- possess outstanding character and leadership qualities as outlined in his application and referenced in enthusiastic letters of recommendation
- have provided a well-written and thought-provoking essay
- have performed well in a personal interview with the Admissions Committee
- have a strong desire to receive a Catholic Benedictine formation, as illustrated by the 12 Hallmarks of a Benedictine School
This scholarship provides an annual $14,350 half-tuition award (excluding fees), provided the student maintains a 3.5 GPA or higher, fulfills all chaplaincy, retreat, service, and athletic requirements, participates fully in at least one student club or organization, and avoids serious disciplinary infractions.
The Saint Benedict Scholarship
$10,000 annual award (for new 7th graders)
The Saint Benedict Scholarship was established in 2023 for new 7th-grade students who exemplify intellectual curiosity, eagerness for moral and spiritual growth, and an enthusiastic commitment to building up community at home, school, neighborhood, and within their faith community. He will exemplify Saint Benedict’s ideal of the novice – full of good zeal, love of God, and respect for neighbor.
The Saint Benedict Scholar will:
- have demonstrated an openness to moral and spiritual growth, hospitality and good stewardship, and an eagerness to be part of the Priory community
- have provided a well-written and thought-provoking essay
- have demonstrated uncommon commitment to his family, school, and spiritual community
- have a strong desire to receive a Catholic Benedictine formation, as illustrated by the 12 Hallmarks of a Benedictine School
This scholarship provides an annual $10,000 award for each recipient (excluding fees), provided he fulfills all chaplaincy, retreat, service, and athletic requirements, participates fully in at least one student club or organization, and avoids serious disciplinary infractions.
Candidates for the Saint Benedict Scholarship will need to complete a separate application (available in September) by January 14, 2025, to be considered. All applications will be reviewed by the Saint Louis Priory School Admissions Committee and recipients will be notified in their offer of enrollment.
The Monsignor Robert P. Slattery Scholarship
$10,000 annual award (for new 9th graders)
This scholarship was established in 2023 in honor of Monsignor Robert P. Slattery, the founding pastor of Saint Anselm Parish. Saint Anselm Parish and Saint Louis Priory School were established to serve families of the Archdiocese, and this scholarship program reinforces that mission for everyone currently enrolled in Archdiocesan schools.
The Monsignor Slattery Scholarship is given to new 9th grade students who meet either of the following criteria:
- are Catholics who have completed PSR or received the sacrament of Confirmation
- are students of any faith currently enrolled in a Catholic school within the Archdiocese of Saint Louis for more than one year
Eligible students exemplify a commitment to moral and spiritual development and an enthusiasm for contributing to their local parish or Catholic School.
The Monsignor Slattery Scholar will:
- have demonstrated an openness to moral and spiritual growth, hospitality and good stewardship, and an eagerness to be part of the Priory community
- have provided a well-written and thought-provoking essay
- have demonstrated uncommon commitment to parish or Catholic school community
- have a strong desire to receive a Catholic Benedictine formation, as illustrated by the 12 Hallmarks of a Benedictine School
This scholarship provides an annual $10,000 award for each recipient (excluding fees), provided he fulfills all chaplaincy, retreat, service, and athletic requirements, participates fully in at least one student club or organization, and avoids serious disciplinary infractions.
Candidates for the Monsignor Slattery Scholarship will need to complete a separate application (available in September) December 13, 2024, to be considered. All applications will be reviewed by the Saint Louis Priory School Admissions Committee and recipients will be notified in their offer of enrollment.
The Headmaster Award
$9,000 annual grant (For new 7th and 9th graders)
This award is offered to new 7th and 9th grade students who demonstrate strong academic potential through their performance on the SSAT, transcripts (as applicable), and application essay.
This merit award provides a student with an annual grant of $9,000, provided he maintains a 3.0 GPA or higher, fulfills all chaplaincy, retreat, service, and athletic requirements, participates fully in at least one student club or organization, and avoids serious disciplinary infractions.
The Saint Louis Priory School Admissions Committee will select award recipients from among all applicants for admission to grades 7 and 9. No additional application or interview is required for this reward.
